A summer tradition is back again! We are very excited to participate in the 4 Day Knit a Long with Marie Greene of Olive Knits. We made the Beekeeper Cardigan and the Foxtrot Cardigan... and now for something new! Here's a few things to know about the Knit a Long.
you do not have to knit an entire sweater in 4 days - unless you want to.
this can be the first sweater you have ever made! Top down, seamless and with lots of support and encouragement from lots of people doing it, too, seems like a great idea.
Pattern pre-sale begins May 28
Pictures are released on June 15
Join us on May 29for Zoom meeting with knitwear designer and author, Marie Greene, for a live chat about the 4th Annual 4 Day KAL. We'll chat about your best yarn options for this year's sweater, color ideas, and more!
We're knitting a two-color, DK weight unisex circular yoke pullover with finished bust/chest fit of 32-64". Shop samples are being knit in Sirdar Snuggly Replay and Plymouth Select DK Merino Superwash. You are sure to find a color combination to make you sing! We will be placing special orders on June 23- pick any color you want!! (there are 49 choices in DK Merino Superwash, 16 colors in Replay!)
KAL begins July 1 and runs through the first week of August.

if you reserve but do not attend your private shopping appointment without prior arrangement, your fee will not be refunded, nor applied to a future purchase. We will have drop in shopping time on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12-3. While in shop, maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and other people as much as possible.
Yarn Winding will not be available during appointments. You may return to pick up wound yarn in our curbside bin, usually the next day. We will not be able to wind previously purchased yarns at this time. Ball winders and Swifts are available for purchase and we will happily show you how to use them.
You are welcome to call the shop to inquire about available appointment times if you are out and would like to stop by. Please note that since the appointment windows are short, we will not be answering the phone during an appointment. We will return your call as promptly as possible.

The variety you can get with two colors is pretty amazing! Click on a picture above to link to the Ravelry pages.
Th colorwork above is slip stitches (mosaic) and stripes. So much can happen... or a little at a time. For sure it is never boring. The Emiliana Shawl is what turned Craig into a Mosaic Madman! Fun and way easier to knit than your friends will believe. Heather made Cameo in hand-dyed souvenir cashmere while on our first Ireland Knitter's Tour. With simple garter stitch stripes and eyelet lace pattern, it is simple and soothing knitting for perfect for travel. And it has become her most worn accessory, especially when traveling!
I hope this is inspiring you to and your stash. Of course, you can go over HERE and just plop some beauty in your cart. Easy 😃
I fell off my blog again. Not intentionally. And if I had someone to transcribe the monologue in my head into the blog, well, you would be well and sick of me!
It has been strange times for us all and it seems to be the status quo for a while. At this time we do not have a date for safe re-opening, though I am working on our policies and procedures for doing so. That will be it's own post, but I do want you to know that your health and safety is of utmost concern to us. As well as mine and my family and all of my fabulous staff.
We will continue to offer purchases through the website (24-7), over the phone (it's OK to leave me messages!), email (kideweknot at gmail dot com) and Facebook messages.
We will schedule virtual shopping (zoom or skype or something similar) and we will have a procedure for being in shop. Those details are relevant later.
It seems like forever and just a blink since we've been together. Strange times indeed.
For now, I just want to say, HI. Don't hesitate to let me know how I can best help you with your fiber needs.
